Departing from the picturesque town of New Quay, in Wales, our dolphin watching boat trips offer the chance to spot marine life of all kinds, like seals, seabirds, dolphins, and more. We offer scheduled trips of 1 hr, 1.5 hrs and 2hrs duration – the destination is determined by the number of wildlife encounters, naturally the longer trips can also show you more of our spectacular coastline.
Dolphin Spotting in New Quay
The perfect way to celebrate a special occasion while you are visiting New Quay is on a private charter, and is very good value. The Dreamcatcher is a new addition allowing us to offer private charters for small groups up to twelve. All around viewing is possible thanks to the small wheelhouse being in the middle, this means if the dolphins are at the front, you can be too.
Dolphin Spotting Cardigan bay, West Wales
Cruising entirely within the Cardigan Bay Special Area of Conservation, along the Ceredigion Marine Heritage Coast (C.M.H.C) recognized for its unspoiled coastline and wildlife, including dolphins, porpoise, Atlantic grey seals and numerous bird species including razorbills and guillemots. Why not come and enjoy the breathtaking views of the C.M.H.C. aboard one of our vessels?
New Quay Boat trips is the longest running company in New Quay, with over 65 years of experience. We can offer you a one-hour cruise south to Cwmtydu where you will see amazing sights including bird colonies, seal haul-out areas and Castell Beach, the local ruins of an iron age settlement. And don’t forget – the chance of seeing some of the many bottle-nosed dolphins and porpoises.
The one and half hour trip offers all of the above and lots more. On this cruise, you will venture further down the coast to the little bay of Ynys Lochtyn, approximately halfway along the C.M.H.C. Just before the village of Llangranog. You will see the tallest cliff in Ceredigion.
