What other wildlife can be spotted in Cardigan Bay

Along with bottlenose dolphins Cardigan Bay is home to many other forms of wildlife including harbour porpoise, Atlantic grey seals and birds. Atlantic grey seals can be spotted in the area and along the whole stretch of coast there are around 4.5K of them.

There are also many bird colonies here in Cardigan Bay. In New Quay we have between 10-12 species of birds that come here to nest and breed. Some of the birds that come here are kittiwakes, oystercatchers, razorbills, guillemots, cormorants, shags, fulmars, black back gulls, herring gulls and common gulls.
